February Event:
Tour of Collectors Car Corral

On Saturday, February 23, member Robert Leininger has arranged for us to visit Collectors Car Corral, in Owings Mills, MD, for an informal tour of the facility, where over 100 vehicles are stored.

"CCC is a high-end vehicle storage facility dedicated to providing a state of the art, highly secure, safe, clean and climate-controlled environment for automotive enthusiasts to store their vehicles."

The two buildings have a showroom feel with additional cars stacked in the back. There are many high-end exotic cars and antiques/classics that we will be able to see, as we meander on our own through the facility under the watchful eye of Robert, who will serve as our chaperone and docent. We will also finally be able to see Robert's beautiful cars: a 1967 Camaro RS convertible and a newly acquired 1971 Buick Riviera GS, which
he keeps at CCC.

After you've enjoyed your time mingling and viewing the cars, you can have lunch on your own at one of several nearby eateries. Since weather is unpredictable, we decided to avoid the complication of arranging a group lunch commitment that could potentially have to be canceled at the last minute due to inclement weather. Instead, we will provide you with a list of options, including destinations such as the Gyndon Grill, near historic Worthington Valley and Sagamore Farm, which affords you the opportunity to take a scenic drive through horse country if you so choose.

For those interested, President Lou will identify a reconvene time and place to lead a caravan to Home Anthology, in Catonsville, MD (along/near the route home for many of you) to visit this large midcentury modern antique furniture shop. Home Anthology has a LOT of neat stuff to see, (albeit a little pricey). Or you could choose to go there yourself at your leisure.

If Mother Nature chooses to threaten us with stormy/icy/snowy weather, we may have to cancel the event, as there is no snow date (but we would reschedule a future visit). If it is at all iffy out there, keep an eye out for email alerts from us, or call the club hotline at 240-270-CARS (2277) to find out if the event is canceled. We will make the call by 7AM the day of the event.

RSVP: Please RSVP to by 6PM Friday, Feb 22 with the full names of those
people attending.
