LAZY RIVER TUBING ON THE SHENANDOAH!

Co-Hosts: DC Ice Breakers, NOVA GL Professionals, the Straight Eights Car Club, and DCthirtysomething – new co-host!
Join us for our Third Annual Lazy River Tubing event on the Shenandoah, with an optional picnic beforehand and dinner after. Last year, nearly 100 people joined in!
It all takes place on Saturday, August 28, at River & Trail Outfitters near Harpers Ferry, WV. Here's the agenda:
- 12:00 pm: Optional picnic lunch on the grounds of River & Trail Outfitters. Bring your own, or order from the Blue Heron Grille snack bar there.
- 1:30 pm: Check-in begins for tubing.
- 2:00 pm: Our tubing adventure begins! It's a lazy float down the river for 2 hours or so.
- 5:30 pm (approx): Join us for an optional dinner at Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse in Gaithersburg, MD.
Tubing is just $24.32 (plus tax and fees), which includes a deluxe quality tube with seat bottom & life vest rental, and a short shuttle ride to the put-in point. And River & Trail will even provide us with a few free cooler-floats for snacks (sorry, alcohol is not permitted). Order your tickets early to avoid a sellout.
Returning co-hosts for this event include DC Ice Breakers, NOVA GL Professionals, and the Straight Eights Car Club. And new this year, co-host DCthirtysomething, a social group for gay men in (who'd a guessed?) in their 30s.
If you've ever gone lazy river tubing, you know what a blast it is. And if you haven't, here's your chance to try it, while meeting LOTS of great new people. So, blow up your water wings, break out your most stylish bathing cap, and practice your best Esther Williams moves. We'll see you on the Shenandoah!
