The winter storms and spring rains have made for very soggy conditions on the farm, so we have changed the location for Fluff-Up to a paved parking area. Read below.
On Saturday, April 17, the Straight Eights and Tri-Valley will co-host this year’s Fluff-Up at JIM BARNETT PARK, 1001 East Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601, beginning at 11:00 am. THIS IS A NEW LOCATION!
It will be held at the ROTARY SHELTER. There are several ways to enter the park. It's not that huge of a park, but we will have several signs posted showing where to go. The park Website is www.winchesterva.gov/parks.
We will form two caravans out to Jim Barnett Park – one from Virginia, led by Joe Grimes, and one from Maryland, led by Darrin Stevens. Details will be forthcoming via email blast.
To make this Fluff-Up extra special, we will hold a Boost/Ensure drive to benefit AIDS Response Effort, A.R.E., a non-profit HIV/AIDS service organization serving the City of Winchester and Counties of Frederick, Clarke, Warren, Shenandoah, and a portion of Page County Virginia. So, bring a six pack … of Boost or Ensure for A.R.E. to help this worthy cost.
Lunch will be served at noon at a cost of $10 per person paid at the event. We ask that you RSVP by April 2, as we must give an accurate count to the caterer for lunch. Send your RSVPs to Milton Stern at straight-eights-president@comcast.net. If you need to change your RSVP from yes to no, please let us know, so we don’t end up having to eat the cost of your lunch.
